Ohio March Primary Election Day Tuesday

ZANESVILLE, OH – Election Day for the Ohio March Primary is Tuesday, March 19.

Early voting for the election wrapped up on Sunday at 5PM. Richard Malik, an Election Specialist at the Muskingum County Board of Elections Office, is urging those who didn’t cast their ballot during early voting, to do so Tuesday at the polls. He also gave some reminders for those heading out to vote.

“Be aware and do some research or homework to find out and know what’s on the ballot prior to going into the polling location,” Malik said. “Make sure you have the proper, authorized identification when going to your polling location. If you need to know where your polling location is at, you can go on the Muskingum County Board of Elections website to look that up.”

Malik said it’s important to vote because your voice matters and needs to be heard.

“It is a part of the democratic process of the United States,” Malik said. “It’s good to get out there and make a difference with your votes to elect the president, state representatives, congressmen and things like that.”

Malik said if you still have a mail-in ballot, you can drop it off until 7:30 PM Tuesday. The polls will be open from 6:30 AM to 7:30PM.

If you need to find your polling location you can head to the Muskingum County Board of Elections website.
