Zanesville,OH- The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties will look for new leadership after 16 years.

The United Way announced that current executive director Meg Deedrick will depart her post on May 24.

In making the announcement, Zanesville resident and board chair Leah Vensil said that the Yunker Group, a Cincinnati-based search consultancy, which works exclusively with nonprofits will help in their search for a new executive director. Vensil said, “Meg Deedrick has served our communities with distinction, professional guidance, and stewardship through a Great Recession and global pandemic. With generous donors,
willing volunteers, and a dedicated staff, Meg has overseen more than five million dollars helping partner agencies, individuals, and families in our three counties.”

Deedrick said of her leaving, “I’m confident knowing that I’m leaving a strong organization that is poised to continue its valuable work into the next seventy years of its history. Thank you to all who have supported United Way and me over these many years.”

She added that she looks forward to the next chapter of her life.

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties is preparing to observe its 70th anniversary.
