“Just working on the details, you know, we’re going to have a lot of new guys working on the work ethic, trying to learn about how a varsity team works,” said Philo Head Coach Hunter Smith. “I’ve only got three guys coming back rom last year and we’re trying to get back in that routine of working on the little things, and making the routine plays, putting the ball in play.”
One of the players not returning is Talon Preston. Preston has decided to focus on football. Coach Smith is looking for his next man up.
“Losing a guy like that is big, you know, I wish him the best. I love the kid, but we have to move on, it’s a team game for a reason, and we’ve got, plenty of guys to step into that role.”
It will certainly be a very exciting season for the young Electrics as they look to improve on an 11 and 13 record from last year.
