The Friends of the Library to Host Books and Brews Trivia Fundraiser

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Friends of the Library is getting ready to host a night full of fun book trivia.

The Books and Brews Trivia fundraiser will take place on April 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Weasel Boy Brewing Company.

Beverly Bell, Vice President of the Friends of the Library Board at the John McIntire Library, said there will be two rounds of trivia, entertainment from Bryan Smith, as well as a raffle.

She said this event is meant for the community to get out and interact with friends and fellow community members.

“We thought this might be a good pull to bring in some community members. It’s out in the community, it’s not at the library, and it’s a little different,” Bell said. “It’s a big event that allows us to socialize, get to know some people we don’t know very well, and have a good evening.”

Bell said that tickets are $25 for a single and $35 for a couple and that gets you a book, some tickets to the raffle, and a drink.

She also said all of the funds raised from the Books and Brews Trivia event and the Friends of the Library Bookstore will go to help to continue providing programming with the Muskingum County Library.

“You can also participate in purchasing things at the bookstore, which is located at John McIntire [Library],” Bell said. “Then those purchases and any of the money that we get from this event and at the bookstore goes back into programs and events that the Library hosts, and that’s for the community.”

You must be 21 years or older to register for the Books and Brews Trivia event.
