Senior Pioneers Win Back-to-Back C.O.L. Championships
Nate Van Meter tossed 8 2/3 innings of two-hit baseball and Chase Phillips closed the door in the 9th as the Zanesville Senior Pioneers captured their second consecutive Central Ohio League title with a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Braves.
The Seniors scored two runs on wild pitches in the 4th and added two more late in the contest. Van Meter was solid on the hill, throwing 6 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball.
