Firearm Recovered during Perry Co. Search Warrant
New Lexington, OH – The Perry County Sheriff’s Office said they recovered a firearm believed to be involved in an incident in Perry County.
The sheriff’s office said the firearm was recovered on Wednesday after they conducted a search at a residence at 428 New England Hill Road in Shawnee. The sheriff’s office seized the weapon pending the outcome of the investigation.
The warrant was in response to a reported aggravated menacing and criminal damaging incident involving a firearm that occurred hours prior to the search warrant being conducted.
There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time. The sheriff’s office said they’re continuing to seek the whereabouts of Mr. Chris Thompson for questioning, a person of interest in this case.
