Muskingum County Humane Society to Host Comedy for Critters Fundraiser

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Humane Society is inviting the public to come laugh their tails off at their Comedy for Critters fundraiser.

The second annual Comedy for Critters fundraiser will take place at Bryan’s Place on Friday April 19th.

The doors will open at 6 with the comedy show to start at 8PM.

There will also be food, drinks, some items to be raffled off and a 50/50 drawing.

Juliet Bay, a Board Member of the Humane Society, said all proceeds from this event will go back to caring for neglected animals in our County.

“What we’re doing is raising funds from the community for the animals in our local community here.” Bay said. “That are in need of vet care, emergency vet visits, even teaming up with PAWS for spay and neuter surgeries. Just to care for animals that perhaps don’t have family or if their family’s are unable to support financially.”

Bay said this event is a great way, not only to socialize, but to also help take care of our local furry friends in need.

“A good laugh is always good, that’s a definite goal there.” Bay said. “But definitely to just raise more awareness of the need #1 of spay and neuter, to take care of animals, and of our organization. But the Muskingum County Humane Society, what people don’t realize is that it’s different. We don’t have a brick and mortar, we don’t have a facility, but we’re an organization that provides care to animals in need.”

Tickets for the Comedy for Critters fundraiser are $20 and can be purchased at the door or online through the Humane Society’s Facebook page.
