United Way Gearing Up For Annual Campaign

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties is gearing up for their annual campaign.

The United Way does a variety of things for the community, such as providing programs for area residents and helping teens to obtain higher education. Resource Development Director Audrey Foster says that in order to find the funding for these things, they are trying a new campaign this year.

"We’re trying something really different this year with a kick off week. So instead of just one day of saying ‘hey folks here we go, we’re ready to get into campaign’ we’re doing a whole week and we’re highlighting different events and programs and areas in the community where united way is at work, helping families thrive."

A variety of different events will happen during campaign week. Foster says that the money they raise really helps the organization continue their work for the community.

"It’s really because of these programs and these things that we have going on in the community. We touch so many lives. So many programs that just go across the span of income education and health."
