Nick Arrojo’s Happy Mondays
Monday was a ‘Happy Monday" at the Mid-East Career and Technology Center.
Nick Arrojo, of Arrojo Salon came to the school to talk to area students, instructors, salon owners and stylist about salon education. Arrojo travels the country sharing his knowledge and experiences that have helped to make him the success he is today. He hopes that these "Happy Mondays" help to inspire hairdressers and allow them to take pride in their craft.
"Inspiration so they can be inspired for work every week. Typically most salons are closed on a Mondays we call them "Happy Mondays" and that gives local hair dressers the inspiration to get them through the week and through the month and we are out sharing our message about professional hairdressing and how important it is to be a real professional in your craft" said Arrojo.
Lenny Rosser, an instructor at the school says that an event like this is incredibly beneficial to students as well as stylists and salon owners in the area.
"it’s very important because, again nick is a leader in our industry" said Rosser, "What happens is education is knowledge, and knowledge is power. And if you are going to be in this industry you need to have that knowledge, wisdom, power and education."
"Happy Mondays" was a free event held from 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. Monday evening at the school. Students and stylists from Zanesville, Columbus, Granville and many other areas were all in attendance.
