Celebrating 22 Year Employee Brian Wagner

The WHIZ Media Group celebrated the long career of one of our own Thursday.

Brian Wagner, who worked for us for 22 years will be leaving tomorrow to pursue a new career. On October 6th, Wagner will begin working as CEO of the Muskingum County Community Foundation. Over his time here, Brian worked as an Operations Manager, Radio Announcer, and Meteorologist. WHIZ Media Group General Manager Hank Littick, says he was an incredibly valuable employee.

"He’s been just an outstanding employee, manager, friend here for 22 years and its been a great long ride. We’re sad to see it come to an end. We wish him all the best in the world."

Wagner says he felt overwhelmed by the celebration and turn out this afternoon and described the group of individuals here as a family. Wagner says the laughter is among the things he will miss the most.

"I will miss the laughter the most. We do an awful lot of laughing at our place and a lot of good friendly jabs back and forth, so that humor and that comradery is definitely something I will miss."

Wagner say’s he will still be around and hopes to make appearances on WHIZ from time to time. We wish him all of the best as he pursues his new career.
