3rd Annual “Canvas Corks & Cookies”

The Zanesville Business and Professional Women’s Club held their 3rd Annual, Canvas Corks & Cookies Saturday evening.

The auction took place at Prophets Park in Zanesville. Guests who attended had the opportunity to enjoy dinner, live entertainment, a cash bar and silent and live auctions. President of the Zanesville Business and Professional Women’s Club, Becky Naugle says the money goes to funding a good cause.

"We’re raising money for our last scholarship fund, which normally we give about two to four scholarships out every year. We also give two transition stars in cast mind academy and a few other locals that benefit from this event."

Tickets for the event were $10 a piece. Chair of the event, Andrea Patterson says the reason they do this is to empower the women around them.

"We as Zanesville Business and Professional Women, believe that women should be empowering women as our key focus and we understand that rape crisis and domestic violence is an issue. Its not going away and we need to do what we can to help other women."

The event ran from 6pm to 9pm. Up to 150 guests were expected to attend.
