Apply to be a Member of the Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation
Muskingum County High School students can apply to be apart of the Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation.
The foundation is looking for students who want to learn how the foundation works and how to raise grant money. Students have until Friday at 5:00 p.m. to have their application turned into the foundation’s office. The Community Youth Fund Advisor, Juliet Lacy, described the ideal candidate.
"We are basically looking for high school students primarily freshman and sophomores," Lacy said. "Ideally it would be a freshman that would serve all four years on the CYF board. We’re looking for students who are interested in community service and learning about how the community foundation works."
There were 63 student members last year from around the county. Lacy said ten of whom graduated, and the foundation is looking to fill at least that many positions this year and possibly more.
"We are looking for primarily students who are passionate about community service, about helping those in need in the community, about learning about the community foundation and what it’s like to award grants, what it’s like to fund raise to make the money to support those grants."
Applications can be found on the foundation’s website, www.mccf.org, or you can pick one up at the foundation’s office on Putnam Avenue.
