Helping Support Those in Need
Hope to the Rescue wants to help keep you warm this winter.
The new non-profit organization is having a gloves and hat giveaway on October 2nd and 3rd between 1:00 and 3:00 each day.
The giveaway will be at the Masonic Temple building on North 4th street. Cheryl Coles started the organization in August of this year to help give back to the community.
"We just wanted to give back to the community," Coles said. "Any person, any age in need of gloves or hats we want them to come over and pick them up."
Hope to the Rescue is accepting both tangible and monetary donations to be used to further its goal of helping any one of any age with any disability. She said getting the opportunity to bless someone with what she’s been given is more important than keeping it to herself.
"We want people to come over and see our services, and see what we have to offer," Coles said. "And we want people to know that we want to give back to them anything that they may need at the time. Each person’s individual need is different, and we want everyone to excel to their fullest."
To donate to the gloves and hat giveaway you can drop items off at the Masonic Temple building, the Women of the Moose, or you can call hope to the rescue at (740) 252-9518 and they will pick up the items you want to donate.
