Vehicle Rollover On I-70

The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating a non injury accident on I-70 just east of Zanesville in the construction zone by the Adamsville Road exit.

Trooper Joshua Weaver says Howard Brown’s vehicle was going east bound on I-70 in the left lane, traveling the speed limit of 55mph in the reduced speed zone, due to construction. The trailer that he was towing started getting out of control and bouncing causing Brown to go off the left side of the road way and strike the concrete barrier and overturn.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m.. Wednesday, temporarily reducing both the eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic to right lane only to remove debris from the roadway.

Brown had minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Washington Township EMS.  Community Ambulance also responded to the scene.

Trooper Weaver says this accident is a "testament to the importance of seatbelt safety."
