Muskingum County Incubator Preparing for Workshop

The Muskingum County Business Incubator is preparing for an upcoming workshop.

The event will take place on October 2nd and will run from 8:30AM to 3:30PM. Anyone interested in commercial kitchens, employee owned businesses, and farmers markets and local food cooperatives is invited to attend. Director of the MCBI Kitchen Incubator, Carol Humphreys says they will talk about a variety of topics, including food hubs.

"We’re very interested in the growers and for the growers to be able to contact individuals who need those products. So we’re using more local products rather than having to purchase canned items."

The cost to attend is $20, that fee will cover your lunch. You are asked to RSVP by Monday, September 29th. Humphrys says events like these are great for generating new ideas.

"We really need to build a good collaborative here of ideas and expertise. One of the things that MCBI will be working very hard is to answer the need for information so our individuals are going to be able to do a better job of marketing and building businesses and also, even for our farmers so that we can bring things in and maybe there’s some diversification they might like to do on their farms"
