Ohio Means Jobs Job Fair
Ohio Means Jobs hosted a job fair at the Muskingum County Welcome Center Monday afternoon.
The job fair ran from 2:00 p.m. to 5;30 p.m., and the process was fairly simple, once applications were filled out online, the applicants interviewed and hopefully received a start date for their new job. Julie Metzger, Supervisor from Ohio Means Jobs told us what these companies are looking for in potential employees.
"They’re looking for committed people, if they’ve go experience that’s great. The biggest thing is, is to just get there every day on time."
Harry & David along with Fanatics Employment Center were at the fair, armed with 3,000 jobs ready to be filled. Both agencies were looking for employees to work through the holiday season. Darlene Ogle, Site Manager for Fanatics Employment Center says that job fairs like this one are a great way to fill positions.
"The great thing about a job fair is it brings employers like us together to hire for these huge spikes in our business, we are just extremely excited to be here today. Ohio Means Jobs has really put a lot of work into this and we’re excited for all the candidate who’ve come out so far."
