Crooksville Takes Baseball, West Muskingum Takes Softball
CROOKSVILLE, OH – With beautiful weather finally upon us, Crooksville hosted West Muskingum for some baseball and softball action on Monday.
On the baseball diamond, the Ceramics were looking for their first win of the season. It was a tight game nearly throughout, and a high scoring one at that. The home side hung on for a thrilling nine to eight victory over the visiting Tornadoes, who fall to five and three on the young season.
On the softball diamond however, it was quite the different story, as the game was dominated by West Muskingum. Three runs in the first, three more in the second, and five runs in the third en route to a 16-0 victory in just six innings.
The team was led by two home runs from Addy Antonetz, one from Gabbi Hammer, Kate Foster, and Kadie Bare, as the Tornadoes now sport an impressive ten and one record this year.
The two teams will run it back in each sport on Tuesday, with the location changing to Zanesville with the Tornadoes hosting the Ceramics.
