Sheridan Continues Impressive Spring Season with Wins over Philo
THORNVILLE, OH – It’s been a dominant spring sports season thus far for the Sheridan Generals, impressing for both baseball and softball.
On Tuesday, Sheridan earned head coach Doug Fisher his 400th career victory as it remains unbeaten at 9-0 after defeating Philo in baseball, eight to one. Pitcher Brody White allowed just four hits and struck out eight in the complete game performance, not to mention three RBI at the plate. Bryson Ruff had two doubles and Caden Sheridan scored three runs to lead the Generals in the victory.
Over on the softball diamond, Sheridan held off Philo, winning four to two to improve to 8-3 on the year. Pitcher Megan Ranck went the distance for the victory, and Cora Hall hit the go-ahead two run homer in the fifth inning, as the Generals never looked back from there.
Sheridan travels to West Muskingum on Wednesday for a baseball-softball doubleheader.
