Perry County Health Department Holds Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic
The fight against the flu took place in New Lexington Thursday.
The Perry County Health Department held a drive thru flu clinic at the fairgrounds. It started at 8:00AM Thursday morning and ran until 6:00PM that same day. Angela Derolph, Perry Co. Health Commissioner said,
"I would just like to remind people to get their flu shot. It’s the best way to prevent getting the flu. But of course be sure if you are sick to stay home. Wash your hands frequently. But most importantly get the flu shot."
The Health Department also held a medication drop off at the fairgrounds. Residents were asked to bring in expired or unused prescription and non prescription medication. Law enforcement takes the drugs and disposes them in a safe and legal manner. The flu shot and medication drop off is an annual event.
