Non-Injury Accident on I-70

An accident occurred on I-70 involving a pick-up truck and a semi near the 151 mile marker.

The accident occurred around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Falls Township EMS responded to the scene. Trooper Troy Hale explained the accident.

"Both units, a semi and a pickup truck were traveling westbound on I-70, and for no apparent reason the blue pickup truck rear-ended the semi" said Hale.

According to hale, there were no injuries and both parties involved were wearing their seat-belts. Hale also told us that the driver of the pick-up truck will be cited in the incident. The westbound lane of I-70 was shut down and traffic was backed up for a short period of time while the accident was cleared.
