NAACP Welcomes back Forest Farmer

The NAACP is welcoming back one of Muskingum Counties very own members at their 2014 annual banquet this year.

The banquet will be held on November 1 at 6:30 P.M at the hallowed hills banquet hall where Zanesville’s Forest Farmer will be speaking about his path to success and his achievements along the way. Muskingum Counties NAACP president, Kenneth Burke, explains how fortunate they are to have Farmer as their guest speaker this year.

We’ve had some very, very generous people from Zanesville to come back to the city and be our guest speakers, and we are fortunate this year to have Forest Farmer. "

Farmer attended Purdue University where he played football, and was later drafted by the Denver Broncos. After an injury shortened his football career, he went on to work for The Chrysler Corporation which included 6 years as President of its Acustar Automotive Parts. Farmer is most recently the President and CEO of his own company, The Farmer Group. Berke said

"He’s well known in the city and his achievements of life, people really think a lot of him."

The NAACP invites the public to come out to hear Farmers story. For more information about the banquet or to purchase a ticket you can call Sharon Johnson at (740) 408-5088 or Kenneth Burke at (740) 408-1148.
