Motorcycle Operator Leads Authorities on Pursuit

Licking Co.-  The Licking County Sheriff’s Office and Newark Police need assistance finding the operator of a motorcycle that led deputies on a pursuit.

It started Monday in the area of State Route 37 and Grand Pointe Drive where the suspect was believed to be hiding out. Once on scene deputies made contact with the suspect on his motorcycle. He fled again driving through yards and ditches to get away.

A short pursuit ensued by Newark Police which ended shortly after due to the suspect fleeing at a high speed. If anyone has information on the operator of the motorcycle contact Newark Police at (740) 670-7200. Tips can be made anonymously.
