Falling Gas Prices
Gas prices in Ohio are hovering around $3.00 a gallon to start the work week, but in the Zanesville area prices have fallen below that price.
According the auto club AAA, the oil price information service and Wex Inc., a gallon of regular gas in the state was averaging $3.04 today. That’s 13 cents less than a week ago. Zanesville’s Nola Price is hoping these gas prices will stay around .
"I think they’re wonderful! I’m just going in to pay for mine now."
The average price was below the 3 dollar mark in the Columbus, Dayton and Toledo areas. The national average was at $3.20, 9 cents cheaper than it was a week ago. Zaneville resident Cliff Stephens is excited to travel to more nearby attractions.
"I’m glad the gas prices are lower, now we can go to wheeling island a little bit more and go gambling. And prices are down about what, 75 cents a gallon?"
Analysts say gas prices will likely continue to fall due to decreased demand and lower crude oil prices.
