Wage & Benefit Survey

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is looking for your help.

The annual Wage & Benefit Survey is being offered to area employers. President of the Chamber of Commerce, Tom Poorman told us a little bit about the purpose of the questionnaire.

"We typically get 50 to 80 participants, participating companies and we use this information to complete a survey report, a survey document and then employers can go online and look at it and they can see how their wages compare how their benefits compare. So its a really useful tool for local employers."

Poorman told us the information that you share will be kept strictly confidential. There are a few benefits to taking part in the survey. The first is being able to use the information in your budgeting and planning when it comes to competing for talent. It also helps the chamber share important statistical information to prospective employers looking to hire. Poorman told us about an additional benefit.

"One additional benefit of this is the benefits side of things and especially right now with everybody looking at their healthcare and the cost of benefits in general, they’re able to see what are other companies doing how are they adjusting their benefits to deal with cost increase, cost increases. We look at health insurance specifically and we ask what portion is the company paying what’s the employee paying, that sort of information."

The survey is only available until October 17th. You can take part in it by going to the website: www.zmchamber.org
