Test Driving for a Fundraiser
As part of a first-time fundraiser, cars from Dutro Ford flooded downtown Zanesville this afternoon.
Dutro Ford, The Ford Motor company and United Way teamed up for the fundraiser. For every car or truck that was test driven, Dutro Ford donated $20 to the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties. Executive director of the United Way M-P-M, Meg Deedrick says the donations will help in several areas.
"This is going toward our campaign total, where we invest in programs in the areas of income, education and access to healthcare to improve the quality of life for everybody in the three county region. "
Other program agencies such as the Boy Scouts and the Zanesville Civic League were also in attendance this afternoon. Dutro Ford’s business manager, Heather Frey says they’ve had a great turn out. Plans to continue this event for years to come are already in the works.
"We would love to make this an annual thing. It has been very successful so far, we’ve had a lot of people out and great support from the community."
Doth Dutro Ford and the United Way are grateful for so much community involvement.
