Perry Co. Authorities Make Arrest

King

Perry Co.- Mark Allen King faces charges after attempting to evade law enforcement in Perry County on Wednesday.

It took place around 11:30am, when authorities said King fled from a home on Lexington Street, in New Lexington, moments before their arrival. The Perry County Sheriff’s Office K9 Bruno was deployed and tracked King from the Lexington Street home to the area near 500 Tile Plant Road, a distance over a quarter mile.

King attempted to elude deputies and New Lexington Police by jumping into a creek. He was taken into custody.

The sheriff’s office said King was in possession of suspected Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

Additional charges are pending. He was taken to Genesis Health Care in Somerset to be medically cleared.

He’ll be turned over to Athens County for an outstanding felony warrant.
