North Terrace Church of Christ’s Annual Fall Festival
Tons of families headed out to the North Terrace Church of Christ this evening.
The Church held its annual Fall Festival today which has become a growing event in the recent years. Lead Minister Matt Mehaffey said the first couple of years were aimed towards a much smaller crowd, but this year they were prepared for hundreds.
"Two years ago we did this, I think it was one of the first times and we had a couple hundred at this event, like 200. Last year we said, "let’s try to invite the community" and we had 2,000 sum show up, and so we weren’t as prepared last year so we said we got to make sure we’re prepare this year, and we are."
This year the fall festival had ponies, hay rides, over 20,000 pieces of candy and much more. Mehaffey said their Sunday services are open to the community at any time, but this is a way to let people know they’re always welcome.
"But this is a way that we can kind of just open up the door, it might be a little, a big step for people to come to church for the first time, so we want to get them on our property and on our campus just a way that’s very relaxed and comfortable and just let them know that we love them and have a great time, and we’re here for them. So, that’s why we do it."
The North Terrace Church of Christ has service at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m. each Sunday.
