Improving Waste Service Efficiency

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – When it comes to business, efficiency can make all the difference between a company’s gains and losses.
The Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning in Zanesville and Rumpke Waste and Recycling Area President Andrew Rumpke discussed how their new waste transfer station on Adamsville Road will prove beneficial for decades to come.
“This facility has been built to serve Zanesville and Muskingum County and surrounding counties,” Rumpke said. “It has the capacity for the long term infrastructure of the growing area. So we can cover waste recycling needs and transfer waste safely and environmentally soundly to landfills and recycling facilities from Muskingum County and the surrounding counties.”
Rumpke is an ever expanding, Ohio based, family business that began more than 90-years-ago in the Cincinnati area. They now serve many residents and businesses in five states and look forward to developing their operations here locally.
“Rumpke provides waste hauling services to residences and businesses in industries throughout this region. So this will help with the economics of that service. Not only waste but recycling can be transferred through this facility. Waste that’s transferred through this facility will be sent to a permitted landfill and recycling that’s transferred through this facility will be transferred actually to Rumpke’s state of the art material recovery facility, which is being built right now in Central Ohio,” Rumpke said.
The 30 acre facility has a variety of positions available; such as managers, equipment operators, and eventually CDL haulers. For more information, you can visit Rumpke.com.
