Julie’s ARTery Offers a Palette of Creative Summer Classes

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local art studio is gearing up to host some summer art classes.

Julie’s ARTery will be hosting different art camps, workshops, and classes starting at the beginning of June.

Julie Goodall, the Owner and Teacher at Julie’s Artery said the camps will run from Monday to Thursday from 3-5PM, the weekly classes will meet once a week for around 8 weeks, and the workshops pop-up in the evenings.

She says this is to help students and others out with their already busy summer schedule.

“We find that students that we don’t have during the school year, summer is a little lighter for them. Some of the sports activities and things they’re involved in during school, they’re kind of on a break from that,” Goodall said. “So this gives them an opportunity, some teachers are off and have a little bit of free time and that’s their opportunity to take some classes as well.”

Goodall says she offers classes in a variety of different mediums; from painting, to ceramics and even jewelry making classes. She says she hopes those who attend the summer classes walk away with more trust in themselves.

“We always hope that they find some confidence in their ability to create,” Goodall said. “Make some new friends, and just have memories of a wonderful time here.”
