2014 Marks Great Year for Real Estate in Downtown Zanesville

2014 has been a great year for real estate in downtown Zanesville.

The area has been seeing a lot of real estate activity within the last year. Both selling and renting of properties has been greater than in many recent years. Downtown Association Manager, Dana Matz discusses their year so far.

"It’s been a great year for real estate, we’ve had 18 properties sell. Under contract I know of 3 buildings that are under contract and not sure if they’ll be sold by the end of the year and there’s rumors anywhere between 2 and 4 other buildings that are gonna come under contract, so very exciting about that. On the rental side of it, or the lease side, multiple buildings have been available in the downtown, so there’s a lot of real estate activity."

Downtown Association Manager Dana Matz says that since 1995 the downtown association has been following a master plan to help develop and revitalize the downtown area.

"A big push for us in 2015 is continue growth on the upper floors of the buildings, whether that’s commercial office space or residential space."
