ZPD Warns Those Playing with Orbeez Guns to be Responsible

Zanesville, OH-  Zanesville Police are warning those playing a “game” involving Orbeez Gel Guns to be responsible.

Police said over the last five days they’ve responded to several calls in reference to the gel guns and have contacted the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said reckless use of the Orbeez guns on public property or streets may result in confiscation of the gel blasters and criminal charges being filed.

Police said several bystanders have been injured due to individuals shooting from moving vehicles, with some individuals believing bystanders were shot with real gunfire.

People have also been struck in the face while driving.
