Complaint Filed in Hit-Skip Accident

Muskingum Co.- A person is in custody in connection to a fatal hit-skip that took place Monday in Muskingum County.
The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said they’ve filed a complaint against Colt. C. Lightfoot in connection to the accident on US 40.
He’s being held in the Muskingum County Jail on several charges including possessing criminal tools, tampering with evidence, theft from a motor vehicle without consent, breaking and entering, receiving stolen property and failure to appear.
His bond is set at $500,000.
The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol said that around 6:30 Monday evening a Chevy Pick-Up truck was traveling west on US 40 and failed to yield when making a turn and struck 71-year-old Gary Frey, of Zanesville.
Frey was traveling east on a motorcycle. The driver of the pick-up fled the scene.
Frey was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased.
The pick-up was found Tuesday afternoon hidden behind a residence in Springfield Township.
The prosecutor’s office said more charges are expected.
