Rushing Wind Biker Church Hosts 22nd Annual Bikerfest

2024 Bikerfest

ZANESVILLE, OH – Rushing Wind Biker Church hosted its annual Bikerfest this weekend with events today and yesterday bringing the biking community together and reaching out to the larger community.  The event started last night with church services, performances by the Rushing Wind Band, and recognition of special members in the crowd.

“We have had our twenty-second annual Bikerfest Weekend. Last night, Friday night, was our first night and we had a wonderful turn out. A lot of bikers came, a lot of the local residents came to see what was going under the big tent and we took time to recognize our local heroes. Our law enforcement, our firemen, our EMTs, and our pastors and really for the first time we took time to recognize the musicians and singers and choir directors that have a lot to do in the local churches,” said Michael McGuire, the pastor of Rushing Wind Biker Church.

Today’s events started with a free breakfast before riding out into the community to offer donations of baby booties to a local organization.

“Well, we felt that there was a need in the area at the Heartbeats Distress Center to be able to reach out to moms who are making decisions whether or not to, during their pregnancy, what to do for that. And you know, when you hand a soon to be mother a pair of knitted baby booties that the ladies here make at the church, it kind of brings into reality, you know, not just a pregnancy but that they’re carrying a life within their womb. So we love doing that,” McGuire said.

The ride continued to Fink’s Harley Davidson for a bike blessing and concluded with church services at the Rushing Wind Biker Church on East Pike.
