Accident on State Route 83 Injures Three

NEW CONCORD, Ohio— The State Highway Patrol is investigating a weekend crash on State Route 83 that sent three people to area hospitals.
According to Zanesville Post Patrol Sgt. Jeff Jirles, at just after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, troopers responded to State Route 83 in Highland Township to a report of a two-vehicle injury crash.
Authorities said 44-year-old David Strohl of Coshocton was northbound on State Route 83 and drove left of center striking a southbound vehicle which was driven by 21-year-old Olivia Henes of Norwich.
Sgt. Jirles said both Strohl and Henes were seriously injured and flown by medical helicopter to Grant Medical Center and O-S-U Medical Center.
A passenger in the Henes vehicle, 21-year-old Tara Henes also of Norwich, was taken to Genesis Hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
