Deadline for entities to put an issue or a levy on the ballot is Wednesday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– The race for the White House is in full swing. But there are some deadline that are approaching the Muskingum County Board of Elections wants you to keep in mind.

The deadline for entities to put an issue or a levy on the ballot is Wednesday, August 10th.

“We received several issues from different townships,” Muskingum County Board of Elections Director Timothy Thompson said. “We have one county wide issue that have been filed already this year. I don’t expect any more at this point, but they still have Wednesday until the deadline.”

Thompson said the deadline to register for the November presidential election is October 11th. Thompson is also making a plea for poll workers.

“We are still always looking for poll workers. So if anybody interested in working the polls for us, we have training time for that. So give us a call and we will put you to work,” Thompson said.
