How You Can Join Wreaths Across America Locally

In 2013 Wreaths Across America volunteers laid over 540 thousand memorial wreaths across the country on veteran graves. This year is another chance for you to get involved thanks to Snouffer Funeral Home.

2014 marks the 5th year of Snouffer’s involvement with the Wreaths Across America organization, who continue their mission to remember, honor, and teach. For just fifteen dollars you can purchase a wreath to be placed on a veteran grave in honor of their service to our country.

Josh Snouffer Owner and Director of the Snouffer Funeral Home told us, "A lot of veterans have families who have moved out of the area, and it’s just a way to bring the community back into remembering and honoring the veterans that have served our country."

The wreaths across America event is more then just the purchasing of a wreath, all local residents are encouraged to attend the wreath laying ceremony at Noon on Saturday, December 13th, which will take place at greenwood cemetery.

"Well, anyone is welcome to come. We have the local veterans groups the VFW Post 1058, the American League and Post 29, and we also have a couple High School choirs who are going to come and have a patriotic event, " said Snouffer.
