UPDATE: Perry County Bomb Threat

According to the Perry County Sheriffs Office, the Courthouse received a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.

The call came on the non emergency line shortly after 12PM Wednesday saying that there was a bomb in the Courthouse. The building was evacuated for 2 1/2 hours as the State Fire Marshals K-9 unit searched the perimeter. The Sheriff’s Department is unsure of where the call originated from but are working to find the caller. This is the second bomb threat out of Perry County this year. The Perry County Sherifs Office, State Fire Marshals, Division of Fire in Columbus and Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.
