Zanesville South Business Association Holiday Parade
The Zanesville South Business Association hosted its community holiday parade today and area residents gathered in masses to view the festive floats.
This year’s parade began on Clay Street and the theme "Christmas Through The Eyes of a Child" was predominant throughout the display. There were many floats in the parade and Zanesville resident Maggie Smith thought it was great to see it all.
"Yes, it is a wonderful thing to bring your family to out to the parade, and it’s a nice day," said Smith.
It’s safe to say family was a big part of the day. Just like Zanesville resident Amanda Harper, many parents enjoyed taking in the parade with their children.
"Watching my daughter, she loves it, there’s so much going on, she loved the band, and now she’s getting ready to see the fire trucks, so she loves it. It takes me back to being a kid too," Harper said.
Amanda’s daughter did get to see those fire trucks, and Amanda took a picture as a keepsake. The holiday spirit was alive throughout the parade and kids went home with bags full of candy.
