Christ’s Table All Prepared For Thanksgiving Day

Christ’s Table is all prepared for their Thanksgiving meal, and wants to spread the word about serving hours.

The holiday meal will be served from 10:30AM to 12:30PM on Thanksgiving Day. The purpose of the event is to give those who have no where to go, a place to enjoy a hot meal among friends. Executive Director, Keely Warden says that all are welcome to participate.

"Anybody, everybody’s welcome. Especially the families that we serve, that’s why we’re here on thanksgiving day. But anybody that’;s out there and may not have anybody to have Thanksgiving dinner with, or you’re going to be alone, come on down and join us here at Christ’s Table. We’d love to have you."

50 turkeys, hundreds of pounds of potatoes, veggies, rolls cookies and pies will all be prepared for serving on Thanksgiving Day. Warden says they are all ready to go, and want to thank the community for helping make it a possibility.

"The public has been overwhelming with what they’ve done. The noodles and the stuffing and the turkeys and the pies have been coming in. Honestly, we’re ready. We could be ready for Thanksgiving Day tomorrow. So we just want to put a big ‘thank you’ out there to the community for coming forth and filling all of our needs, there is nothing to ask for. Our cupboards are stocked, we’re ready to go for Thursday and we’re looking ahead to Christmas."

230 meals will be sent out to the home bound population, and about 250 meals will be served at Christ’s table.
