Muskingum U. Hosts Elite One Day Camp
New Concord- Some local area talent took to the gridiron at Muskingum University at the Muskies annual Elite One Day camp.
Over 70 players came to New Concord to show off their skills and abilities taking part in various drills such as the 40-yard dash, broad jump and various passing and catching drills. They had the chance to interact with coaches and players on the field. Players were split up into different positions groups and rotated all over the field to meet and train with the Muskingum Football staff.
This is one of our biggest ones we’ve had in the last couple of years,” said Head Football Coach Erik Ieuter. ” A lot of local guys are out here which is awesome and we have guys from all over Ohio and other regions.”
And for what these athletes got out of camp? A wealth of knowledge, experience and growth as football players.
Ieuter said, ” The biggest thing I want is for these guys to bring something back to their team that can help them be a football player that can ultimately help their team out this fall. I just want to see the guys flying around, competing and having fun.”
