Tune Up Your Smile Pairing Up With Christ’s Table

One local dentist’s office is giving many something to smile about this week.

For the last four years now, Tune Up Your Smile has been offering $25 procedures to those in the community. Every dollar raised at the event will be matched and given back to Christ’s Table. We spoke to Executive Director Keely Warden, who told us these events are not only beneficial to their organization, but also the area residents.

"It benefits I think, the community a whole lot because many times this is the type of thing that you don’t get done during the year because you cant afford it. Extraction’s and cleanings are expensive and if you don’t have insurance to cover it its just one of those things that slip aside and you don’t get it done. $25 is affordable for people…it’s an opportunity to walk through the doors, get it done economically, and also be able to help Chirst’s Table."

Tune Up Your Smile would like to have at least 100 patients come in for dental work. Both appointments and walk-in’s are welcome, and there is a limit of two procedures per person, to maximize the help of those coming in the door. Doctor Scott Williams of Tune Up Your Smile says they are doing the event simply because they want to give back to the community.

"It makes you feel good when you do anything for somebody that is unable to do it and we know that this community at times has suffered difficulties with unemployment just like many of the communities, rural communities around and so we’re happy to be able to give back to our community. It makes us feel good when somebody smiles at us after the work that we’ve performed."
