Moyer Steps Down at Philo

Philo, OH- Some big news to talk about for Philo High School softball.

Longtime head coach Michelle Moyer is stepping down from her role. Moyer has amassed 293 career wins over 23 years in charge.

Her departure means that it will be the first time in over 40 years that a member of the Vaughn family won’t be leading the Philo Softball program, as Moyer succeeded her father, Butch Vaughn, for the role.

She helped lead Philo to 4 regional appearances during her tenure. She joins John Glenn’s Steve Cowgill as softball coaches that have stepped down as head coaches following the 2024 season.
