Lights Dance on the Muskingum County Court House

It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year. Wednesday evening, December 3rd, Main St. was flooded with holiday spirit as hundreds flocked to downtown Zanesville for the annual Miracle On Main St. holiday celebration.

The Christmas spirit was alive and well during the holiday festival as friends and family gathered to enjoy music, dancing, hot chocolate, and most importantly lights.

"It’s a great night, it’s the Miracle on Main Street Holiday tour. It’s the kickoff of the festival of trees activities very exciting," said Dana Matz, Membership Service Director for the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce. "As you can see me we already have people playing music behind me and people listening to music. We have 46 businesses open in downtown Zanesville tonight, this is the kickoff of storybook Christmas in Zanesville. Big surprise for these folks. Most of them do not know that we’re going to make the court house light up and dance to music."

The active lighting was a big crowd pleaser as viewers braved the cold to watch lights dance on the court house.

If you missed Wednesday’s light show, don’t worry. You can watch the courthouse light-up every evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. now until January 6th.
