Girl Struck on Blue Avenue

 A girl was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon near Zanesville Middle School.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Blue and Forest Avenue. According to the Zanesville Police Department, the girl was attempting to cross Blue Avenue when she was hit by a red sedan heading northbound on Blue.

The vehicle appeared to have hit her legs, and ZPD said she was transported by Community Ambulance to the hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries. The girl was deemed to be at fault, crossing at an area where there was no crosswalk.
