Y-City Sisters Unite to Fight Cancer in Pelotonia Rides

ZANESVILLE, OH – A pair of sisters from the Y-City are tackling this year’s Pelotonia Rides.

Kym Cross will be riding as a part of the Bath & BodyWorks Peloton team in the 2024 Ride Weekend on August 3rd in downtown Columbus.

She will be completing this ride alongside her husband as they raise funds to fight cancer.

“This is something I’ve always wanted to participate in because everybody knows somebody who has been affected by cancer,” Cross said.

Cross will also be riding in the Gravel Day Ride on September 21st in Nelsonville with her sister, Keeley Herron.

Herron is also a first time rider and says it’s been an amazing experience being able to do this with her big sister.

“We’re just a great team together, we support each other and we’re always there for each other,” Herron said. “I’m usually the one dragging her to events and she’s actually convinced me to do this Gravel Ride, which is going to be really challenging, I know. But as a team we’re going to do it together, no matter how long it takes us.”

If you’d like to follow along on their journey you can head to their Facebook page or to the Pelotonia website.
