United Way Presents Generous Check to Habitat for Humanity

ZANESVILLE, OH – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties is spreading joy and support through a series of check presentations around the area.

On July 16th, the United Way presented a generous donation of $37,800 to the Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio. This heartwarming contribution will fund the construction of two news houses, providing much-needed homes for local families.

“Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio is so grateful for our partnership with the United Way MPM. We’re going to be able to build two houses and at least two home repairs that we’d really struggle with without the support of the United Way. We’re really grateful for that,” Habitat for Humanity Director of Community Engagement, Melissa Best said.

This donation is part of the United Way’s initiative to present checks to multiple select partners that applied for spring funding. Their ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations is making a big difference in Zanesville and surrounding areas. Each check presentation brings new opportunities and strengthens the community.

“We have about 17 partners that were awarded this funding. We’re really excited to bring that funding back into our local community,” United Way MPM Community Impact Coordinator, Katie Grubbs said.
