“Myself, I’m a veteran, my GM’s a veteran, so we’re very involved in the veteran community give us a great opportunity to interact and network with the other veterans in the area. It’s just fun to do it and the event itself is great because we’ll have an amazing breakfast starting off at 8 a.m. its free to veterans and their caregivers. Then we’re going to have live music starting at 3 o’clock we’ll have Carson Clouse on stage at 3, followed by Up 2 No Good with Steve Zemba and his gang. They’ll be playing up there starting at 7,” Watson said.

The breakfast at The Barn is actually only a small part of the Veteran Appreciation Foundation Weekend with events raising awareness and funds for the organization.

“We do fundraisers to make sure that all of our veterans get what they need especially the Honor Flight. We sponsor a lot of the Honor Flights and our breakfast we have free for them every month. One breakfast a month. There’s a lot of different things that we’re doing and this weekend is our big fundraiser. So we’re hoping that we see a lot of people out,” said Shirley Sevcik, a board member of the Veterans Appreciation Foundation.

This weekend also includes a golf outing fundraiser at the Green Valley Golf Course starting at 9 a.m. this Sunday. You can learn more about the Veterans Appreciation Foundation by visiting there website.
