Zanesville truck driver charged in fatal bus accident in Licking County

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio–A Zanesville truck driver is facing charges in connection to a deadly chain reaction crash on Interstate 70 in Licking County last November.
According to court documents , 61-year-old Jacob McDonald, is facing 26 charges including 6 counts of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide.
McDonald is being held in the Licking County Justice Center on a $1 million bond.
The accident happened on November 14th of last year on I-70 West near State Route 310 in Licking County. Authorities said a charter bus carrying students from Tuscarawas Valley School District was rear ended by a semi truck that was driven by McDonald. Several other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Six people died including three students as a result of the accident and more than a dozen others were injured.
Mcdonald is scheduled to be arraigned later this month in Licking County court.
