Pet of the Week: Kittens

ZANESVILLE, OH- This week for Pet of the Week The Animal Shelter Society is showcasing all of the kittens that they currently have.

The animal shelter has many kittens who are looking for forever homes. All of the available kittens are very loving and enjoy playing.

“We’re coming to you today to talk about the abundance of kittens that we have in the animal shelter, today I think we may have a total of 15 kittens right now, and probably another six that haven’t come out to the floor yet, so we have ranges of eight weeks up to four months old, a variety like this one here, I’m not sure if this is Ty or Smudge, we have identical babies, we have a variety of colors, black and white, orange, calicos, greys, you name it we have it and they all are super friendly and sweet” said Animal Care Manager, Rebecca Hunt.

The Animal Shelter Society also wants the community to know that they’re giving back to you and your pets on Monday by donating food for whoever may need it. You can pick up the food at the animal shelter.

“This Monday, July 29, we do have a food drive between 2 and 6 p.m. so we are donating back to the community the food that we cannot use because of dyes in them or certain flavors that we’re going to donate back to the community, just show up here between 2 and 6 on Monday of the 29, what we don’t donate will go to other rescues in the area to help them out as well, it’s obviously as supplies last as well,” said Hunt.
