Fatal pedestrian accident in Licking County

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio–The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m. Thursday, Deputies discovered the body of 49-year-old Randall Thomas of Nashport on State Route 16 near milepost 30.

Authorities said Thomas was walking eastbound alongside State Route 16 carrying a flashlight on July 24, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on State Route 16.  The vehicle then left the scene.

Authorities  said they have located the vehicle and driver.
